Evelyn Mendal

Parenting Coach, LMHC

Evelyn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and founder of Hatch + Bloom. She is passionate about teaching caregivers to meet children’s foundational needs when it comes to social and emotional development. Her approach integrates the latest science in brain development, child development, emotional intelligence, & the attachment relationship to empower caregivers to set their children up for success through connection and skill building from the very start. Evelyn is a profound believer in utilizing the power of the caregiver-child relationship to raise healthy, independent, and well-adjusted children. Through play and developing secure relationships, our little ones can develop critical social and emotional skills, such as resilience. She developed a workshop curriculum for parents and staff who are committed to providing compassionate care and who pride themselves on implementing a healthy, science-based approach to child development.

After completing undergrad at George Washington University, she obtained a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami. During this time, she trained in the discipline of Infant Mental Health. Evelyn has worked in private practice for ten years providing child, adolescent, and family therapy as well as parenting support. Since then, she launched Hatch + Bloom and also worked as a consultant for Zumbini, a music and movement early childhood program, highlighting the parent-child bond within the Zumba brand.
